JIM THE LUMBERJACK

ABOUT

SOFTWARE

This project was one I created to brush up on my Renderman skills. I modelling him in Maya before bringing into zBrush to add some finer details to make him more lumberjack shaped!

My texturing pipeline included a bit of back and forth between 3D Coat, Mudbox, zBrush, and Photoshop to achieve the desired results (Stylised/handpaint feel with a hint of realism which I achieved through procedural PBR in 3D Coat).

From here, I set up materials/shaders inside of Renderman, mainly using the PxrSurface shader.

There was a fair bit of shader tweaking to get to this final result!

I used Nuke to composite this all together, utilising a shallow depth of field to make it look a bit like a miniature!
